Research
My current research focuses on the development of biomaterials derived from keratin. This natural protein source is extracted from human hair and subsequently refined. Then I create various biomaterials such as films, gels, and nano gels using keratin. These materials are then extensively studied for their potential applications in diverse areas including drug delivery, tissue engineering, solid-state electrolytes, and dye absorption.
Additionally, a significant aspect of my research involves exploring the therapeutic possibilities of peptide fragments obtained through the enzymatic breakdown of keratin protein. This investigation aims to uncover novel therapeutic applications that could stem from these peptide fragments.
